Reusable produce bags

How many times have you absentmindedly used one of those single-use plastic produce bags at the grocery store? We all have! There are a plethora of eco-friendly choices on the market that might be just right for you and/or your gift recipient.
One option is produce bags made by a Virginia company called Organic Cotton Mart. They’re made from zero-waste sustainable organic cotton. Sets of lightweight mesh bags, 2 large, 2 medium, and 2 small, are washable, durable, have drawstrings to cinch the bag. Each bag has a tare weight on it.
Tare weight is the weight of the bag itself that can be deducted from your produce weight at the point of purchase. You can also find these bags, and many others, with online shopping. (While we've provided the link to one product, we are not affiliated with this company in any way.)

These bags can save thousands of single-use plastic bags from ending up in the landfill! That's a huge win for us all and another illustration of how small steps matter.
